Environmental Film Festival Australia

The countdown is on to #EFFA2019, with just two weeks until we reveal this year’s program! For now, meet the six local environmental groups chosen to be part of... our 2019 Community Storytelling Project - announced today! These groups are making their very own short films which will screen at EFFA, thanks to professional training by Digital Storytellers.

Congratulations to 3000acres, Australian Parents for Climate Action, Pollinator Alliance, The Community Grocer, The Compost Depot and Roving Refills - we can't wait to see their films, and promote the many ways they can help you to help the environment!

Our Community Storytelling Project is made possible thanks to the generous support of our major partner Bank Australia.

  • Amanda Collins Awesome 🙂. Hey what do you reckon about designing a a ground dwelling native bee(most in Vic) bee hotel. I reckon we champion a Victorian version for most of our ground dwelling native bees. Let's try and design one that fits the brief recommended in the Native Bee book that Tocal published. Thoughts?

Got time for a coffee? Then you've got time for Pollinator Week. It only takes 10 minutes!

Get out in the garden and observe a flower or small patch of flowers ...for 10mins and record all the visiting insects. I'm in Yamba NSW and this Geisha Girl bush is very popular with honey bees and blue banded bees.

The chemical treatment lawn also destroys Pollinator habitat. Spread the word, an imperfect lawn is actually the perfect home for our ladybirds, butterflies and bees.
